Come over between 10am - 3pm Monday and Tuesday to update your resume or to use the computers and tablets.

BMNH Playgroup Free 

Playgroup will re comence on Monday 24th January  2022

Come along and join the BMNH Playgroup and connect with other mothers in your Neighbourhood. Share a light snack for the children and friendship. Activities for the young ones will be provided. 

PLAYGROUP SUPPORTED BY A FACILITATOR Guest speakers attend through out the year. 

Playgroup Every Monday, school terms only 10.00am - 12.00pm Terms 1 and 2.

BASIC COMPUTER AND SMART PHONE TRAINING. FREE

Monday between 10am and 2pm. Ring for support with mobile phones, Tablets and PC's. If your needing support or have any questions solved regarding smart phones, internet, or QR codes and Vaccination status uploaded onto your phones, our tutor can guide you through your questions and concerns members will be supported by Zoom if restrictions apply or one on one at House.

BE CONNECTED PROGRAM FREE

Monday's school terms only. These workshops are to help older people thrive in a digital world. Discover how being online can add new skills and experiences to your life. Learn the basics of getting online. Build your confidence in using digital technology.  Ring between 10am and 2pm to get connected. Online support is available. Please ring office for further information.

FRUIT AND VEGETABLE PROGRAM

This program is to help anyone on low  income, or experiencing hardship. Please ring office to make an appointment on        9317 5610.

 

Basic computer and smart phone training. Free

Tuesday 10am - 2pm. ring for advise on your smart phones, Tablets and any internet concerns. We also give one on one training.

WEDNESDAY

Mosaics 

Learn how to make a mosaic working with colourfull tiles to make a  piece of art

Every Wednesday. School Terms Only 10am - 12pm Cost $3  

Term 4 Wednesday 24th November  

COOKING WITH MARIA 

This class will run for term 4. Wednesdays at 12.30-2.30. This is a multicultural cooking class with cusine  prepared from all over the world.  Cost $5

This class has much social interaction. Maria is an excellent tutor that brings to the class her expertise to her cooking and instruction. Distancing rules apply

 

Tenant Community Meeting Lunches

Enjoy a free Lunch. Meet local residents, new people, and get to know your neighbours. Guest speakers each luncheon .

Next Meeting will be 29th November 2021 1pm Subject to change during pandemic.

THE NOURISH PROJECT.

5 Neighbourhood Houses partner to Nourish the Community during COVID-19.

Pilot project  to rescue surplus food and provide free, nutritious meals for people doing it tough. The project is a coordinated and collaborative Neighbourhood House response to food insecurity in Maribyrnong.  Meals are prepared  at Yarraville Community Centre kitchen by qualified staff and distributed by Angliss Neighbourhood House, Duke Street Community House, Braybrook and Maidstone Neighbourhood House  Yarraville Comunity Centre and West Footscray Neighbourhood House.  Anyone requiring meals, please contact Braybrook and Maidstone Neighbourhood House  to arrange pick up.  9317 5610

BMNH ROOM HIRE  

We have an activity room for hire to suit meetings, workshops and social groups etc. The room is available for casual or ongoing bookings.

TRADING TABLE

Bring along your unwanted goods and donate to the trading table. Goods must be in good condition. 

All proceeds go to the BMNH for the purchase of materials for classes, this keeps the cost of classes down.
